Roasted Chicken with Stuffing & Gravy

Roasted chicken with stuffing and gravy in the quickest time

The roasted chicken with stuffing and gravy takes a considerable amount of time for both the preparation and the cooking. But if you are a working person and you do not have much time to give to your cooking then you can alter some of the ingredients. You can eliminate some of the ingredients and you can also decrease the time of the cooking. But you must cook till the chicken is pierceable.


  • ΒΌ cup butter
  • 1 stalk celery sliced
  • 1 medium onion chopped
  • 1.25 cups of water
  • 1 medium sized carrot (shredded)
  • 4 cups herbs seasoned stuffing
  • 1 whole chicken
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • Chicken gravy

How to make

  1. You need to heat the butter in medium heat. Then add the celery and the chopped onion and cook until they turn golden brown. Add water and carrot and stir nicely. Turn off the flame and mix the stuffing nicely.

  2. Wash the chicken thoroughly with cold water and pat dry. Then you must add the stuffing into the neck and the body cavities. You must fold the loose skin over the stuffing. You must tie the loose ends of the drumsticks together.

  3. You must place the chicken in a roasting pan and must brush the chicken with vegetable oil. The chicken must be placed breast side up. You can insert a heat thermometer in a fleshy part of the chicken. You must be careful that the thermometer must not touch the bone of the chicken.

  4. You must roast the chicken at 325 F. you must let it roast for about 2-3 hours. You can also stop cooking and roasting when you see that the centre temperature of the chicken turns 165F. 

  5. Let the chicken stand for 10 minutes before slicing it into pieces. 

  6. Then you must heat the gravy in a medium flame on a saucepan. Heat it until it is very hot. 

  7. You can now serve the chicken with the gravy on top of it.
