Cook the onions, ginger and garlic in a pan until it turns brown. Then gradually add the chicken, tomato sauce and other spices to the pan and cook it for another 10 minutes and add the fresh cream stirring it occasionally and finally garnish the dish with chopped cilantro. You can make some minor customization of the recipe by adding a few fresh green chillies.  

Ingredients

For seasoning the chicken

  • 2 chicken breast
  • ¼ tsp black pepper powder
  • ¼ tsp. turmeric powder
  • ½ tsp cumin powder
  • ½ tsp. coriander powder

Making the sauce

  • 4 tablespoon butter
  • 1 tablespoon oil
  • 1 onion finely chopped
  • 1 teaspoon ginger garlic paste
  • 3 medium tomatoes finely chopped
  • ½ teaspoon coriander
  • ¼ tsp. garam masala powder
  • 1 cup hot water
  • 1 tbsp tomato ketchup
  • ¼ tsp. sugar
  • 5 tablespoon heavy cream

How to make

For seasoning

  1. Mix all the ingredients together with chicken and refrigerate for 30 minutes

For preparing the sauce

  1. Heat oil in a pan and add butter and 1 tablespoon of oil

  2. Fry the chicken pieces until it turns golden brown and set it aside.

  3. Add the onion in the remaining oil, add ginger garlic paste and cook it for 2 minutes.

  4. Add the tomatoes, garam masala, coriander powder, and salt and cook for 5 minutes.

  5. After the mixture is prepared, let it cool down and then put it in a blender to make it a thick paste.

  6. In a different pan, add the butter, the tomato sauce through a sieve.

  9. Cook it for another 5 minutes and garnish it with little cream and cilantro.
